ScheduledExecutorService

Jeff Schultz
Does anyone have a ScheduledExecutorService that uses a varying number
of Threads?  ScheduledThreadPoolExecutor's "acts as a fixed-sized pool
using corePoolSize threads and an unbounded queue" is not what I need
for a particularly bursty workload.

Re: ScheduledExecutorService

No, but STPE can still do the job if you use it to schedule the submission of work to a secondary (non-scheduled) executor service. When a lot of work triggers at once, all it has to do is put it on the secondary executor's queue.
